Here is an example of shooting with my typical cheap DSLR and standard lens with a Tube Extender added to create some very Macro shots.  The subject is one of those pinscreen boxes with random shapes applied, sitting in the sun, and manually adjusting focus over 10 shots.  To view these animated gifs focus pull motion, just click on one and wait for the load, they are sort of large so may take 10 seconds or so.  Soon I will try this in Maya and Mental Ray as they have a decent lens filter with bokeh.
