This is a 100 second abstract environment experience titled Memory Dome. The story is broken into 4 parts of our main characters recollections, specifically, birth, fear, peace, and death. In each one of the memories, our subject will be wondering in a photo-surrealistic environment that fits the past subconscious memory. Of course we do not remember our birth explicitly, but once we are in that memory, the familiar mixes with the strange as huge floating fish and a flock of butterflies surround you in a soothing light. Fear will be expressed with a more sinister location, darker lighting cues, and a surprising destructive animation. Peace and death go without saying, but one thing that ties all of these memories together will be the look achieved with 3D scanned photogrammetry locations, full 360 panoramic environments, and image based lighting for a filmed cinematic feeling. Here is a collection of style renders that are close to the final rendered look we plan to achieve.
